🌟Highlights: Shangchuan Island has a long history, inhabited as early as the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, more than 600 years ago. In the twelfth year of Hongzhi (1499), Shangchuan Island belonged to Xinhui County and was once called "Chuanzhou" or "Shangchuanzhou." During the Song Dynasty, Shangchuan Island became an important post on the ancient Maritime Silk Road, witnessing the exchange and collision of Eastern and Western civilizations. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Shangchuan Island became an important hub for Sino-Portuguese trade, where Portuguese merchants established trading posts, earning the island the reputation of "Island of Trade."❗️❗️❣️
