Taitung Baoding Art Center

Taitung Baoding Art and Culture Center: It was originally the old mayor's official residence complex at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Baosang Road in Taitung City. It was built as an official dormitory in 1936 and has a total of 6 Japanese-style wooden buildings. These Japanese-style dormitories are all one-story wooden structures, including dormitories, gardens, etc. They are complete in shape, perfect in architecture, and have historical value.
These Japanese-style official residences had been in disrepair for a long time, affecting the appearance of the city. After the renovation was completed, the interior space was planned into a small art gallery, a social room for art and cultural groups, an art and cultural information room, etc., and a small exhibition and performance venue was added to the courtyard. Baocheng has a strong sense of nostalgia and artistic atmosphere. It is worth a stroll here to feel the new vitality of the old buildings.
