Cape Light: The Morning Glow of Green Island Lighthouse

At 5 a.m., I stood beneath the Green Island Lighthouse, bracing against the first sea breeze as I awaited the sunrise. This white lighthouse, built in 1939 to commemorate an American shipwreck, stands tall on the northern cape, witnessing countless dawns and dusks. As the sun rose above the horizon, the entire lighthouse was bathed in golden light, creating a dreamlike scene.

Beneath my feet, the waves endlessly crashed against the rocky shore, and in my ears, only the whispers of the wind and sea could be heard. Sitting on the lighthouse steps, I quietly felt the passage of time. The mornings on Green Island are neither noisy nor hurried; they simply remind you, in their stillness, that the world remains gentle.
