Qixing Mountain Trail

#chinatravel Finally tackled 七星山步道 (Qixing Mountain Trail) in Taipei City and wow, it’s a leg burner but so worth it. The climb is no joke, especially if you start from the Xiaoyoukeng side, but the views at the top are just wild. You get this full-on 360 look over Taipei, Yangmingshan, and even the coast if the skies are clear.

There are a ton of stairs so your legs will feel it, but the trail’s super well maintained. Also lots of mist, wind, and random changes in weather so bring a jacket even if it looks sunny when you start. Seriously.

The peak area is super open and windy but really satisfying. Felt like I earned that view. On the way down, the hot springs area is nearby so it’s easy to make a full chill day out of it.

Not the easiest trail but definitely one of the most rewarding in Taipei. Go early to beat the crowds.
