Laid Back Wandering Around Tamsui District

#chinatravel Exploring around Tamsui District in New Taipei City is honestly such a chill way to spend a day. I went with no plan and just kind of wandered, and that’s probably the best way to do it. The riverside area is really pretty, especially around sunset when the sky lights up and everything feels super calm.

There’s a long boardwalk where you can stroll, snack, or just sit and people watch. The street food is everywhere and so good, try the fish balls and ice cream if you get the chance. Old Street has that fun mix of local shops and touristy stuff, but it’s still got charm. There are also cool little temples and random street performers if you walk around enough.

You can hop on a ferry or just take your time soaking up the local vibe. If you’re looking for a super relaxed day with a mix of food, views, and culture, Tamsui totally delivers.
