“❤️Sinking into the rattan sofa on the lakeside terrace, not wanting to move! Curling up in the courtyard of Lake on Lake Hotel to watch the morning mist over Jinyang Lake🌫️. When the breeze carrying moisture brushes past the courtyard's rose bushes, even the freshly peeled Taigu hupu jujubes taste sweet.
The little spotted doves hopping under the gallery, flipping through the old legends of Jinyuan on the lobby bookshelf, gathering around the stone table to munch on freshly steamed tou nao with shaomai! This place perfectly captures the gentle charm of Taiyuan.
🏨 This time I stayed at 📍Lake on Lake Hotel · Jinyang Lake (Red Lantern Sports Stadium branch), just a 5-minute walk to Jinyang Lake Park—absolutely amazing.
⭐️ The hotel is tucked beside lush trees in Taiyuan’s Jinyuan District. Opening the window, you hear the sound of spinning tops from morning exercisers. The stone swing in the courtyard faces a flower wall covered with climbing roses. Early in the morning, leaning on the windowsill waiting for the aroma of lamb soup from the breakfast stall at the alley corner, even the breeze feels warm.
🌿 The hotel courtyard is planted with Chinese scholar trees and irises. The front desk flower rack displays freshly picked grapes from Qingxu. Sitting on the rattan chair on the terrace watching water birds skim the lake surface until afternoon, then walking to the Red Lantern Sports Stadium for a game is just perfect.
❗️Tip: Book the lakeside view room 15 days in advance. Everyone who loves lake views keeps an eye on it, and weekends during peak season sell out fast.
❗️The hotel lends cycling helmets and picnic mats, and the front desk provides maps of lesser-known scenic spots around Jinyang Lake.
❗️There’s a big temperature difference by the lake in Taiyuan mornings and evenings, so bring a light cotton jacket. It’s just right to wrap up and watch the morning mist by the lake.
❗️An 8-minute walk away is a small Jinyuan-flavored restaurant serving fried pork with ti jian noodles. After eating, you’ll smack your lips in delight. Back at the hotel, nestle in the courtyard hammock watching the sunset dye the lake pink, feeling too lazy even to get up.”
