Shanxi Museum has won the Lu Ban Award and one of the top ten exhibitions in national museums. The Shanxi Museum gathers the essence of cultural relics from the entire province, with about 400,000 precious collections. Among them, the most distinctive ones include cultural relics from the Taosi site of the Neolithic Age, cultural relics from the Shang Dynasty, cultural relics from the Jin State and the Three Jins during the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, stone carvings from the Northern Dynasties, and cultural relics from Shanxi merchants during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The affiliated library covers an area of ​​more than 1,000 square meters and has a collection of more than 160,000 books and more than 110,000 ancient books, including 888 boxes and 5,043 volumes of rare books.
