[Kagawa] Authentic Sanuki Udon, Handmade by Moriya

Located in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, a 10-minute drive from Takamatsu Airport, I visited Moriya Takamatsu Main Branch for authentic Sanuki udon. This time, I tried the Kamatama udon. It was chewy and incredibly delicious, and paired perfectly with the egg. In addition to udon, they also offer a variety of other dishes, including rice balls, inari, tempura, and oden. I arrived as soon as the restaurant opened, but there were already many customers. This popular restaurant sees lines on weekends and even during weekday lunch hours. Across from the restaurant is a shopping booth selling souvenir udon and the owner's selection of the finest Tobe ware, so you can enjoy shopping. Apparently, most of Moriya's tableware is made from Tobe ware from Ehime Prefecture. It's a wonderful shop brimming with the owner's attention to detail.
