This is a Jodo Shinshu Honganji temple (^^) It is currently located in the center of the city, but in the past it was located at the foot of Mt. Aonoyama. This is due to the historical background of the fact that about 800 years ago, Honen Shonin, who founded the Jodo sect, was exiled to Sanuki! At the time of its establishment, there was a magnificent mountain gate and main hall. During the Hinamatsuri festival, the Tadotsu Domain's Funayaka-style teahouse is open to the public and is crowded with many tourists (^^)
It houses a letter written in the Edo period that is said to have been sent to the Imperial Court by the famous Tokugawa Mitsukuni (^^)
