Zuiryu-ji Temple in Takaoka, Toyama

Zuiryu-ji Temple is the family temple of Maeda Toshinaga, the second lord of the Kaga Domain, located in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture.

The temple is designated as a National Treasure and is a magnificent example of early Edo period Zen architecture. The beautiful arrangement of the Sanmon Gate, Buddha Hall, and Dharma Hall is truly impressive.

I visited in the summer, and the combination of the lush green lawn, blue sky, and the solemn architectural beauty of the temple created a stunning view that I could gaze at forever.

Compared to Kanazawa, there are fewer tourists, so I recommend it to those who want to feel the history and tranquility! ☺️
