Walking around the old town of Hida Takayama, Japan

Address - Takayama, Gifu Prefecture, Japan

Atmosphere/Location - Hida Takayama, a land embraced by mountains in the northern part of Gifu Prefecture, is a city that still retains the atmosphere and condition of ancient Japanese houses. Since being ranked as a three-star along with Kyoto and Nara, the small, quiet city, we were surprised after 18:00, all the shops were closed, there was only a minimart. The city is very quiet and slow-life. We stayed at an onsen hotel, a ryokan, and it was so cool, we wore kimonos the whole time. The city is very clean. I like walking on the old walking street with wooden houses. There are food stalls along the way. I was full.
Highlight - During the snowy season, the whole city is covered. It is very beautiful. Walking around the city, there are points showing where to go and a free guidebook at the minimart. Just grab it and go.
