Takoyaki Mikawa Morning Market

Mikawa Morning Market is a morning market along the Miyagawa River. It is about a 10-minute walk from Takayama Station. There are many kinds of food.
Today, I tried takoyaki. It tastes delicious and goes well with the cold weather.
Takoyaki is the name of a Japanese food. It is a round dumpling made from flour, water, milk, and eggs mixed together. The filling is small squid, whole or diced, grated tempura or "Tengazu", pickled ginger or "Beni Shoga", or green onions. It is cooked by frying or grilling in a pan with holes like a pancake pan. Nowadays, takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise are often poured over it, and green seaweed called "Aonori" and dried fried mackerel or "Katsuobushi" are also sprinkled on it.
