Dango Mikawa Morning Market

Mikawa Morning Market is a morning market along the Miyagawa River. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Takayama Station.
When you get here, another must-try menu is Dango, which is a Japanese boiled dough ball made from rice flour mixed with Urushi rice flour and glutinous rice flour. It is different from the way mochi is made after steaming glutinous rice. Dango is usually round in shape. It is popular to put 3 to 5 Dango on a stick and serve.
