The mysterious "Takeo's Great Camphor Tree"

Takeo Onsen Station has become lively with the arrival of the Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen. I decided to get off the train while I was there. The name Okusu is often used in the name of a bicycle race, but I didn't have high expectations when I visited. The Okusu tree behind the main hall of Takeo Shrine is a magnificent giant tree with a mystical atmosphere, and it was truly wonderful.

Access: 25 minutes on foot from Takeo Onsen Station
