If you're staying on Iriomote Island, this is the place to stay!

Hoshino Resorts Iriomote Island Hotel aims to be "Japan's first ecotourism resort".

You can stay here for a minimum of two nights.

The room I stayed in was a deluxe twin room.

It was a spacious 54 square meter room.

It doesn't feel new, but it's kept clean.

The terrace was also spacious, and there was a pool below.

All rooms face the sea, and since it is along the beach, which is also a sea turtle nesting ground, care has been taken to prevent indoor light from reaching the sea at night.

The lounge offers free drinks and snacks until around 6pm.

One of the attractions is that you can enjoy latte art.

This hotel is trying to be plastic-free and PET bottle-free, and you can see the various efforts being made, such as providing free rental bottles, eliminating disposable amenities, smart laundry without detergent, and introducing all-in-one soap that takes into consideration the burden on wastewater treatment.

At first glance, some people may think it's a hassle, but I was able to stay there without any problems.

May nature be preserved forever in its beauty, without being destroyed by human hands.
