Hoshinoya Taketomi: A Dream Accommodation Worth Every Penny

I finally fulfilled my dream of visiting Hoshinoya Taketomi Island!!

I was constantly amazed by the various forms of hospitality offered.

First of all, the property is incredibly spacious!!! The grounds are designed like a village, making it enjoyable to take leisurely strolls. Additionally, there were complimentary activities every evening, such as stargazing yoga, live performances of Okinawan folk music, ice cream and tea during snack time, and delicious awamori served at night. It was truly packed with fun experiences.

There were also various paid tours available, so even without a detailed plan, you can have a great time!

During my 3-night, 4-day stay, I had a packed schedule with activities like exploring the town and diving. However, given how amazing the accommodation was, I felt it would have been nice to dedicate a day to simply relaxing within Hoshinoya without any plans.

The night sky was stunning, and the Milky Way was so clear that it could be captured vividly with an iPhone camera. The pool was open all the time, and floating in it at night while gazing at the stars was absolutely magical.

The resort also provides access to the beach, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise!

While it is indeed pricey, I’m so glad I went. There are discounts available, such as the 90-day advance booking discount and discounts for stays of three nights or more, so consider it if you get the chance!
