Lovely riverside bear bingsu that will melt your heart

If you’re walking along the Danshui River and want something cool and naughty, Naniwa Maru is the answer. This famous Japanese-style bingsu shop originally from Hualien has moved to Danshui, giving it an atmosphere that feels like you’re in Osaka, but with a river view as the backdrop.

The signature menu items are the heart-melting “bear” bingsu, such as the “彩熊君” or “北海白熊君”. They come in a variety of flavors, mixed with fruits, sauces, quality products, and are often served with mochi, creating a perfect refreshing sensation.

The shop is located next to the river, just across the street from Danshui Pedestrian Street. Choose a table by the riverside fence and enjoy the cool breeze and the sunset. The shop is decorated in a Japanese style, and there is a photo spot with a colorful graphic of Fuji. When you see this, you have to grab your phone and check in immediately.
