Luoxingdun, located in the middle of Poyang Lake, is said to have been formed from a fallen star because of its star-like shape floating on the water. It is a small stone island, several feet high and about a hundred steps in circumference. The Song Dynasty poet Jiang Zhiqi described it in a poem: " Today, the stones in the lake were once the stars in the sky . "
Luoxingdun has stood firmly underwater for years, but its true beauty can only be seen during the dry season, from November to April or May of the following year . It is truly a marvel of architecture in Chinese history.
The dry season from November to April or May of the following year is when you can see its true appearance.
