Yuantou Ancient Village is located in Fuchun Town, Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province. According to the Wu Family Genealogy, Yuantou Ancient Village dates back over 700 years, dating back to the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. Wu Fuyang, a wandering resident of Chashan, Xiuning County, was struck by the picturesque scenery, lush vegetation, and fertile land. He felt as if he had seen the dreamlike hometown described in the poems of Zhu Xi, a renowned Neo-Confucian philosopher of the Song Dynasty. He decided to relocate his family and settle there, naming it Yuantou Village.
This pristine ancient village boasts pristine air, a healthy environment, and a vibrant ecology, with extensive broadleaf and bamboo forests. Yuantou Ancient Village is a condensed version of Wuyuan, boasting golden rapeseed fields, the characteristic water inlets of Wuyuan villages, houses nestled among flowing water and small bridges, the culturally rich Tanyuan Book House, the quaint and elegant Kuiyue Teahouse, and the Longquan Valley, a natural oxygen bar. It blends humanity and nature in one place.
The county is located in the mid-subtropics and has the characteristics of the East Asian monsoon zone. It has a mild climate, abundant rainfall, a short frost period, and distinct four seasons.
The beautiful ecology of Yuantou Ancient Village is not only reflected in the well-preserved Shuikou Forest, but also in the winding paths and gurgling streams that come into view as you go up the stream.
Walking into the Longquan Valley, rows of white-flowered loblolly trees and groves of serene green bamboo tell the story of the graceful beauty of this landscape. Unlike canyons, which are "W"-shaped and too steep and treacherous to navigate, the creek valley is, on the other hand, "U"-shaped, flat and gentle. Walking along it feels like flowing clouds and water, like strolling along a park path.
Breathing in the high-quality air, containing over 100,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter, is truly refreshing. This is nature's gift, and the natural oxygen bar's negative oxygen ion-rich environment will revitalize your body and mind.
