Top Spots to Visit:
🌉 Nusamai Bridge (Kitaodori, Kushiro) — iconic sunset views, open all day, perfect for photos and a breezy stroll by the river!

🚤 Fisherman's Warf Moo Smoke House (2-4 Nishikicho, Kushiro) — grab smoked fresh seafood treats in a waterfront vibe. If you love local eats, this is THE spot.

🦦 Kushiro River (Hokkaido) — walk along the serene riverside in Shibecha or Kushiro, especially gorgeous in early morning or golden hour! 🌅

🌊 Lake Mashū (Teshikaga, Kawakami) — one of Japan’s clearest lakes! Hit up Mashu Observatory No.1 for insane panoramic shots, and don’t miss Mount Kamui for nature lovers seeking views of the lake against snowy peaks.
Note📌: You can take a direct bus there from JR Mashū station, but do note there is only one bus available per day in the morning.

Bring layers🧣 — weather flips between sunny, snowy and rainy fast. It can also get pretty windy at times! 💨

Book JR rail seats ahead for peak season. Especially if you intend to take the Norokko Train! 🚂
