Wat Tham Suea was founded in 1971 by Phra Khru Sitthiwimol. Inside the temple, there is a large Buddha statue in the blessing posture enshrined on a hill, along with a Thai-style octagonal chapel decorated with beautiful patterns and a 69-meter-high and 29-meter-wide Kesa Kaew Maha Prasat pagoda. From the hill, you can see a beautiful view of the lake and the Vajiralongkorn Dam. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the raising of the gable on October 5, 1983. In addition to stairs, there is also an electric tram service to go up the hill.
Wat Tham Suea is open to tourists and the public to visit and pay homage to the sacred objects every day.
(Mon-Fri 07.30 - 16.30 hrs.)
(Sat-Sun 07.00 - 17.30 hrs.)
#There is a charge for the electric tram.
I was very impressed by Wat Tham Suea this time. The place is very beautiful.
If I have a chance, I will come back to visit again. #Wat Tham Suea #Kanchanaburi
