Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine
⛩️🍁🎏It is the largest shrine in Takayama City. It is important both historically and culturally. It was built during the reign of Emperor Nintoku on Sakurayama Hill. The front entrance of the shrine is the Torii Gate. The main building of the shrine is decorated with traditional architecture. It is made entirely of Hinoki wood and remains beautiful.

🍁⛩️🙏This shrine was built to worship the god Hachimangu, the god of protection and agriculture. This shrine is popular during the Takayama Matsuri Festival, one of the most famous festivals in Japan.
