Japan | Snow Country Niigata ~ Echigo-Yuzawa • Kiyotsu Gorge Mirror Pond.

Traveling to Tokyo in mid-January without encountering snow in the city
The only option was to use the JR Pass to travel 1.5 hours from Tokyo to the snow country of Niigata Prefecture to see the snow ❄️☃️

Taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo Station, after 1.5 hours, we arrived at Echigo-Yuzawa Station.
As soon as we stepped out of the station, we were greeted by a spectacular snowy landscape.
We exchanged our round-trip tickets to Kiyotsu Gorge at the local travel agency on the right side of the west exit.
After a 30-minute bus ride, we arrived at Kiyotsu Gorge,
and walked about 5 minutes to the Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel.

The tunnel is 750 meters long and has a total of 4 observation decks. Remember to check in at the 4th observation deck for the mirror pond reflection, it's truly beautiful 😍
