Statue of Prince Komatsu Akihito

There is a particularly tall bronze statue in Ueno Park. It is actually a very historic statue, depicting Prince Komatsunomiya Akihito, a member of the imperial family who excelled in both literature and martial arts, commanding the Boshin War and other events during the Meiji period and later serving as president of the Japanese Red Cross Society. It is a valuable bronze statue that conveys the history of the Meiji period to the present day.
