Oshiage, Tokyo. Breakfast for a trip to Tokyo at the miso soup specialty store "MISOJYU Tokyo Solamachi Branch" in Asakusa.

I had some time before my reservation for the observation deck at Tokyo Skytree, so I had breakfast at Tokyo Solamachi.

Asakusa's miso soup specialty shop MISOJYU has a shop at Solamachi, so I enjoyed it.

The morning menu is 770 yen

A set of miso soup + rice ball + half boiled egg and pickles.
Today's miso soup is with onion, oysters and green onion.
You can also choose your favorite rice ball from the counter menu.

The rice ball looks like it's topped with green laver, which is apparently made from "tencha," a tea leaf that is not yet made into matcha, and it goes well with the fragrant salt that comes with it.

MISOJYU is a large, filling miso soup restaurant in Asakusa.

They have counter seats as well as table seats, so it might be a good idea to try Tokyo miso soup while sightseeing😊
