Fujikami Inari Shrine in Nakano Ward, Tokyo

This shrine is the guardian deity of the former Kawashima village and a branch shrine of Shinmei Hikawa Shrine.
It was burned down during the air raids of 1945, but was rebuilt with funds and donations.

The red main shrine building is eye-catching, but the guardian foxes are also distinctive.
These long-bodied, fairly slim fox statues 🦊
Each statue holds a rice ball, a scroll, and a jewel in its mouth 😊

Many foxes dedicated for prayers were offered at the main shrine 🙌
