[Tokyo Accommodation] Richmond Asakusa Hotel: An Affordable 3-Star Hotel Option

Traveling in Tokyo🧳, Asakusa is a popular spot for many visitors. Compared to the Richmond Asakusa International Hotel, which is pricier and has better online reviews for its accommodation environment, the Richmond Asakusa Hotel next door is a great budget-friendly choice. We stayed one night in a double room for about NT$3,400, which is a fairly acceptable price.

Richmond Asakusa Hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Asakusa subway station🚇. It’s not very convenient if you’re dragging luggage, but the advantage is that the hotel is located in a lively area. Right next to it is a whole shopping street with almost all the Japanese brands popular among Taiwanese shoppers. There are also many restaurant options. The famous Asakusa Temple is just a few streets away from the hotel, and you can see it directly from the window🪟. Especially at night, the temple has a peaceful beauty.

The room has the usual drawback of being quite small, so it’s not very convenient if two people want to move around. However, there is a long table where you can sit and eat, which is nice. I must honestly say that the cleanliness🧹 could be improved. I even found hair left by previous guests on the bathroom wall. Amenities can be picked up at the lobby on the first floor. Sharing my accommodation experience with everyone, I think I’ll try staying somewhere else next time🤣🤣🤣.
