I came to Takano Fruit Parlor, located on the 2nd floor cosmetics floor of Tobu Department Store directly connected to Ikebukuro Station, to try their seasonal melon menu.

I visited just after 3 PM on a Sunday, and there was no line. It felt relatively less crowded compared to the main Shinjuku store.

Takano’s muskmelon is always delicious, but since it’s in season, it tasted even better.
The parfait was amazing, not only with melon but also with melon & vanilla ice cream and cream that had a mascarpone flavor.
The muskmelon shortcake had a light sponge and elegantly sweet fresh cream, which paired perfectly with the melon.

The seasonal melon menu is available only until June, so if you love melon, be sure to visit by June!
