Located on the banks of the Asakusa River, The Gate Hotel Asakusa in Tokyo features an infinity pool facing the Sumida River and Tokyo Skytree, making it the best vantage point where traditional and modern landscapes converge.
During the day, you can see Kaminarimon and temple eaves from the water, and at dusk, the lights of the Skytree reflect on the surface, as if crossing the boundary between two eras. My favorite time is the pool at night, with soft lighting, quietly floating in the water, with only the sound of water and occasional gentle music in my ears. This is not the most luxurious pool, but it is the one that carries the true essence of Tokyo.
