Explore Shinjuku, stroll leisurely, enjoy ice cream, and have a blast in the heart of Tokyo

Walking around Shinjuku was so much fun! It has the full big city vibe with tall buildings, bright lights, shops, cafes, and people rushing by quickly but not as chaotic as you might think.

I stumbled upon a small Japanese ice cream shop near Kabukicho by chance 🍨 The Hokkaido milk soft serve was incredibly fragrant and creamy, super refreshing especially after a long walk. Even in the chilly weather, I still wanted some!

While walking, there were all kinds of shops selling knick-knacks, trendy clothing stores, and cute Japanese cafes that made me want to stop at every single one. If you love street photography, there are tons of great spots with good lighting and cool buildings that give off a very authentic Japanese vibe.

🚇 Getting here is super easy—just take the JR train to Shinjuku Station and exit through Kabukicho or the South Exit to explore the whole area.

📸 I recommend visiting in the evening until night. The neon sign lights are stunning, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a Japanese movie.
