[Tokyo Hibiya] Imperial Palace Lunch! Kusunoki Rest House

Kusunoki Rest House is a Japanese-style restaurant located within the Outer Gardens of the Imperial Palace, popular as a resting spot for tourists.
The name comes from the famous general Kusunoki Masashige (also known as Kusunoki Ko) from the Nanboku-chō period, and it serves as a relaxing place for visitors to the Imperial Palace.

It is located very close to the [Kusunoki Masashige Statue]! It’s the perfect spot to stop by during a stroll around the Imperial Palace.

The rest house is quite spacious,
and you can also purchase souvenirs inside the building.

The restaurant is very large and seems to accommodate groups as well.
Most lunch menus come with a drink bar ranging from juice to coffee, making it a great value.
The price at this location is quite a bargain.

I chose the domestic young chicken karaage with senjyu flavor.
The karaage was very crispy and delicious.
I think it’s the best tasting among the restaurants around here.
The side dishes, including pickles, simmered dishes, and octopus salad, were all elegantly seasoned and tasty. With a wide variety of menu items such as kudzu udon and steamed sushi, it’s a place I want to visit again.

Address: 1-1 Outer Gardens of the Imperial Palace, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
Nearest station: 5-minute walk from Hibiya Station Exit B6.
Also within walking distance from Otemachi Station, Nijubashi Station, and Tokyo Station.
