Travel Guide: Tokyo Sasazuka - Miyabu Sanuki Udon!

I stumbled upon an udon shop near Sasazuka Station, Miyabu Sanuki Udon.
From the signboard, it already felt like a hidden local gem, and inside, it was packed with locals only.

True to authentic Sanuki udon, the noodles were chewy and the broth was rich yet clean!
I had hot udon with tempura on the side, and the harmony when the crispy tempura was slightly soaked in the broth was the best!
It was just right for a light meal, and the atmosphere was comfortable enough for solo dining ☺️

If you want to experience a lesser-known local style during your Tokyo trip, I recommend Sasazuka Miyabu Udon.
It’s a bit away from central Tokyo, but it’s a route where you can feel the charm of a humble alley 🩵
