[Tokyo Travel] Senso-ji Temple - A Historic Temple

As the oldest temple in Tokyo, it attracts a continuous stream of visitors every year. We came to visit on a weekday morning, and the crowd was very dense. Tourists from various countries were everywhere, rickshaws 🛺 and street vendors 🍡 loudly calling out to attract business. It was not the peaceful and serene temple visit one might imagine.

Even so, the overall architecture of Senso-ji is still very beautiful, showcasing the craftsmanship of traditional Japanese temple architecture. The Kaminarimon Gate is also spectacular, a must for a tourist photo to mark your visit. After the visit, strolling through Nakamise Street and nearby shops is also a great experience. There is a store nearby specializing in Sanrio products, as well as many authentic Japanese snacks and delicacies.
