The Shinjuku Godzilla Head is a popular landmark in Shinjuku's Kabukicho district, Tokyo. Located on the eighth-floor terrace of the Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, it towers approximately 12 meters tall, creating a striking illusion from the street, evoking the impression of a giant beast peering down upon the city. The head, erected by Toho Productions, pays homage to classic kaiju films. Every day at noon, afternoon, and evening, Godzilla recreates his roar with lights, sounds, and smoke effects, inviting visitors to take photos. Hotel guests can even "come face to face" with Godzilla from select rooms. Shinjuku Godzilla Head is not only a pilgrimage site for movie fans, but also a fascinating urban spectacle on the streets of Tokyo.
