Casual Dining Experience at Joël Robuchon Gastronomy
• Venue: "L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon" (Roppongi Hills) — A one-Michelin-star French bistro-style restaurant.
• Style: An intimate space with a casual luxury concept. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a stucco castle, with a black and lavender theme, and the restaurant is known for its friendly yet sophisticated service.
• Experience:
• Food: The course menu, featuring seasonal ingredients, was beautifully presented and plentiful, from appetizers to dessert. I was particularly impressed by the delicious chestnut soup and cauliflower cream, and the colorful presentation.
• Service: The staff were friendly and attentive. However, during busy times, the intervals between dishes sometimes felt a little long.
• Value for money: Lunch is relatively reasonably priced (there's a course menu for around 6,500 yen), making it an attractive choice for its high cost performance.
Impressions: This is a recommended restaurant for those looking to enjoy authentic French cuisine in a casual setting. The comfortable atmosphere makes it a great place to visit, whether for special occasions or casual occasions.
Our evening in Roppongi began with a quietly moving artistic experience at the Mori Art Museum's "Another Energy: The Power to Continue Challenging." The "energy of challenge" exuded by 16 female artists, ranging in age from 71 to 105 and boasting careers spanning more than 50 years, truly inspired us across the ages. The diverse media and artistic styles resonated deeply with us, and the view of Roppongi from the observation deck, combined with the night view, left us wanting to gaze upon it forever.
Afterwards, we headed to "L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon" in Roppongi Hills. Despite its Michelin-starred prestige, this space embodied the name "casual gastronomy"—a laid-back atmosphere. From chestnut soup and cauliflower cream to colorful appetizers and desserts, every dish was carefully crafted and exquisite. The staff's attentive and refined service left a lasting impression. The lunch course was priced at just 6,000 yen, making it surprisingly good value.
This evening, where art and fine dining, sensibility and taste buds sync, truly represented "special, unforgettable urban luxury." Why not take the time to savor a night in Roppongi, full of encounters and discoveries?
