Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens

#tokyospots

Koishikawa Korakuen is one of Tokyo’s oldest gardens, and it truly feels like a living piece of history. I loved the way it incorporates Chinese and Japanese landscaping styles, creating a diverse experience as you walk through. The highlight for me was the iconic Full Moon Bridge arching gracefully over the pond—it looked stunning in photos. The garden is also famous for seasonal displays, especially the iris fields in early summer and the fiery maples in autumn. Despite being in the middle of the city, it feels like a tranquil retreat. Walking here gave me a real sense of Edo-period Tokyo.
