Be sure to stop by during your summer vacation in Tokyo!

📍Amamu-da Kotan Omotesando Branch
3-7-6 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo 107-0061
🚋Omotesando Station, Harajuku Station, Shibuya Station
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The store's name, "Amamu-da Kotan," is a combination of the Ainu words for wheat (amamu) and kotan (kotan), meaning settlement. Apparently, it means "house of wheat." 🕊🌱
This shop has a long line from early in the morning, but if you come around 4 PM when the bread stock is low, you can get in without much of a wait. 🎶
⚠️However, the selection is very limited. 😭
✅Mushroom Baguette
It tastes like mushroom ajillo, and when toasted, it feels like a luxurious morning treat. ✨
✅Chocolate Bread with Drained Yogurt and Butter Sandwich
The strained yogurt was sweet and had a cream cheese flavor. 🥺
It paired perfectly with the fluffy chocolate bread, making it the perfect snack. 👏
✅Orange Chocolate Levain
The cross section is chock-full of walnuts and chocolate! The orange adds a nice accent, and although it's on the softer side of hard breads, I chewed it thoroughly. 🥰️
Next time, I'd like to line up early in the morning and see all the bread on display. 🥺
