I went to the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno, Tokyo, to the Main Building's Japan Gallery and
the special exhibition "Unkei: A Space of Prayer—Kofuku-ji Temple's North Round Hall." ☺️
Photography is prohibited in the special exhibition, so I don't have any photos, but it was truly amazing.
(The sign is pictured in the second photo.)
The Main Building's Japan Gallery has a lot to see, including Japanese art, sculpture, and animal masks.
Exhibition periods vary depending on the exhibit, so I recommend checking before visiting.
The Tokyo National Museum is incredibly large and packed with exhibits.
In addition to the Main Building, there are other museums, such as the Oriental Gallery and the Heisei Gallery, so be sure to check them out.
If you want to take your time exploring the exhibits, you can easily spend a whole day there.
