[Tokyo] A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! A journey through ancient Egyptian civilization at the "Ramses the Great Exhibition"

#LimitedEvent

This exhibition, officially recognized by the Egyptian government, is one of the world's largest ancient Egyptian exhibitions, having toured the United States and Europe. Now, it's the first to travel to Asia, and is currently being held at the Toyosu Museum in Tokyo.

Originally scheduled to run until September 7, 2025, the exhibition has been extended until January 13, 2026 due to overwhelming popularity.

More than 3,000 years ago, Ramses II established the Golden Age of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Ramses II, renowned as the greatest king and the longest-reigning pharaoh, was known for his longest reign and artistic prosperity.

Approximately 180 archaeological and artistic artifacts are on display throughout the museum, telling the story of his achievements and the subsequent developments in ancient Egyptian civilization.

An exhibition of this scale and quality is said to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

What's unique about the museum is that photography and videography are permitted, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with the exhibits.

Additional highlights include the wooden coffin containing Ramses II's mummy and the statue of Psusennes I. The exhibition features a variety of exhibits, including jewelry like a golden necklace, real animal mummies, a CG reconstruction of Ramses II, and a corner recreating the Battle of Kash, the decisive battle of the century, using projection mapping.

One particularly noteworthy attraction is the state-of-the-art VR experience (additional fee required) at the end of the exhibition.

Set in the Abu Simbel Temple and the tomb of Queen Nefertari, the experience is immersive and time-traveling. It's so realistic, with a touch of Resident Evil-esque elements, it's almost dizzying.

Highly recommended for fans of ancient civilizations.
