Kyoto Fujii Inari Shrine: A Mysterious Walk Through the Blossoming Torii Gates

#TravelGuide

Located in Fujii Ward in southern Kyoto, Inari Shrine is dedicated to Inari Okami, the god of rice and business.
Admission is free, and the 4-kilometer path to the shrine is lined with thousands of red torii gates.
Passing through the torii gates and ascending along the mountain paths and forest trails, you'll feel as if you've entered another world.
Fox (kitsune) statues are also placed throughout, symbolizing the divine messengers.
It's a 5–10-minute walk from JR Inari Station or Keihan Inari Station.
It's recommended to visit early in the morning to enjoy a quiet walk through the torii tunnel.
Even a visit to the lower part of the shrine alone captures a quintessential Kyoto image.
If you have time, exploring the entire mountain path offers both scenery and tranquility. If you're looking to add a "nature shrine walk" to your Kyoto itinerary, Inari Shrine is a great choice.
