Tokyo: A Trip Completed Without a Plan

#OctoberTravelSupport

Tokyo was a city that was enjoyable just to walk around, even without a destination in mind. Crossing the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, you could feel the energy of the city, and a short walk away, the quiet and quaint Daikanyama welcomed travelers. The simultaneous presence of both a busy and relaxed atmosphere seemed to be Tokyo's greatest charm.

When I needed a break, I stopped by an Omotesando cafe for a coffee and a view of the streetscape. Don't worry about browsing the shops or getting lost. Tokyo is a city where things to see naturally flow from place to place.

The subway was a great way to get around. Transfers were easy with a Suica/Pasmo, and the well-developed walking route made for a stress-free trip. The ability to enjoy shopping, cafes, and sightseeing all in one place made for a full day.

Travel Tips
• Shibuya is best during the day for photo opportunities.
• Daikanyama is full of select shops, so watch your wallet.
• Omotesando is a great place to visit on weekends, so be prepared for a wait.
• Navitime's traffic information is more accurate than Google Maps.

Tokyo is a city that offers a high level of satisfaction even without extensive planning. The more you walk, the more you fall in love with it.
