A huge desert in Japan? Tottori Sand Dunes!

Some people may be surprised to learn that there is a desert in Japan, but it is true. The Tottori Sand Dunes are huge sand dunes located along the coast. There are also two camels, so you can take pictures while riding them, and the view of the ocean from Umanose (馬の背) is spectacular. The observatory building, which you can reach by taking the ropeway or walking up, sells a variety of souvenirs, sweets, chocolates, jellies, and other Tottori specialties themed on the Tottori Sand Dunes. Right next to it is the Sand Museum, which exhibits amazing sand-themed works. I highly recommend visiting!!!
