Romantic Türkiye, an unexpected encounter with cats

Walking on the streets of Türkiye, the most common things are not only the historic mosques and cobblestone streets, but also those lazy and free cats. The cats here are not only part of the city, but more like travelers with free souls, sharing this scenery with us.

Next to the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, an orange cat squatted gracefully on the stone steps, squinting its eyes to bask in the sun; in a small cafe by the Bosphorus, several cats nestled leisurely on chairs, just like the owners of the store; in the covered bazaar, they flexibly shuttled among carpets and spices, as if they were also choosing their favorite corners.

I was deeply moved by the love that the Turkish people have for their cats. Containers of cat food and water can be seen in almost every corner. These cats belong to no one, but they are treated kindly by the whole city. The unexpected encounter with the cat added a unique warmth and romance to my journey.
