And one of the most stunning castles that will have you snapping photos is Tsuruga Castle, also known as the Crane Castle. The blanket of snow makes for a truly romantic atmosphere, like a scene from a period drama.

The castle itself has been renovated, but it still retains its rich historical atmosphere. Inside, you can explore the history of samurai and ancient warfare, and there's even an observation deck on the top floor, offering a view of the entire city of Aizu covered in pure white snow. It's a beautiful and peaceful sight.

🚌 Getting there is easy. From Aizu-Wakamatsu Station, take the "Haikara-san" or "Akabe" bus and get off at the Tsurugajo Kita-guchi stop. It's only about a 20-minute ride to the castle.
