Visiting the Nomads, Khovsgol, Mongolia

Getting there: The distance to the Mongolian village of Khankh from Irkutsk is 330 km. The route runs along a picturesque road through the southern tip of Lake Baikal, the Tunka Valley between the Khamar-Daban and Eastern Sayan Mountains.
Must-see attractions: Cape 13 Obo, the summit of Mount Munku-Sardyk, sandy beaches in summer, and simply relaxing on the lakeshore.
Accommodation guide: The most famous tourist resorts are Sayan Radian, Legend of Khuvsgul, Zhemchug, and Serebryany Bereg. The first two have several comfortable rooms.
