The plaque inscribed "Zennyo Ryuosha" (Zennyo Ryuosha) on the shrine's worship hall is an important testament to the ancient history of dragon worship.
Significance of the "Zennyo Ryuosha" plaque:
While the current enshrined deity is Takaokami-no-kami, this is believed to be a remnant of the shrine's former deity, Zennyo Ryuo, the Buddhist dragon king.
This plaque is a valuable cultural asset that conveys the history of worship of the dragon god as a god of water during the period of syncretism between Shinto and Buddhism.
Pure temizuya:
The temizuya, where pure water gushing forth and infused with the power of the dragon god, evokes the feeling of pure water flowing toward the **Okumiya "Kissho Ryuketsu"** inner shrine.
The elements that are thought to be part of the temizuya (specific designs will be added if any) are a design that embodies a sense of reverence for the water god, unique to this place where the dragon god is worshipped.
In addition, in the mountains behind the main shrine is the Kissho Ryuketsu, a sacred object that is known as one of Japan's leading power spots for the dragon god.
