#Kyoto #Byodoin Phoenix Hall
The building depicted on the 10 yen coin is called Byodoin Phoenix Hall.
It was originally a villa for Fujiwara no Yorimichi, but at the time, the idea that the world was coming to an end was widespread (the idea of the end of the world), and it is said that Fujiwara no Yorimichi, who wanted to be reborn as something good in the next life, gathered Buddhist statues and gave it its current form.
Even now, if you go inside, the ideas of the time are passed down, and I think it is a magnificent building that gives you an idea of the anxiety and hopes for the next life of the people of that time.
