A Journey Through Kyoto's Uji: Following the Fragrance of Green Tea

If cherry blossoms represent the essence of spring in Japan, then autumn leaves are the romantic ritual of fall. For this trip to Kansai, I specifically planned a foliage tour in Uji and Kyoto city, and the beauty exceeded all expectations.
📍 Byodoin in autumn truly looks like a painting, with the lake reflecting the vibrant autumn leaves and the Phoenix Hall. Every angle offers a postcard-worthy view.
📍 Rokkakudo was more serene and meditative than I imagined. The moment the leaves turned red, it exuded a quintessential Kyoto charm.
📍 Jodoin was an unexpected delight I stumbled upon. Turning a corner, I was greeted by a fiery red scene—a row of maple trees intertwined with the temple's eaves, as if stepping into an old Japan autumn.
The beauty of autumn leaves lies not just in their colors but in the feeling of time slowing down as they quietly fall, making you want to pause and take it all in.
