🏔️🚞Harder Kulm (also spelled Harderkulm) is a viewpoint perched at about 1,322 m in the Berner Oberland, right above Interlaken and Unterseen in Switzerland. It belongs to the forested Harder ridge, part of the Emmental Alps.
The summit provides 🏞️🏔️panoramic views over Interlaken, nestled between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, with the iconic trio of peaks—the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau—in the backdrop.
🚞Getting There: The Harderbahn Funicular
Starting near Interlaken Ost train station, the Harderbahn funicular climbs 1.4 km and over 700 m in elevation, through forest terrain, in just 8–10 minutes—with gradients reaching up to 64% at points.
🏞️Operating seasonally—from mid-April to late October/November—it connects the valley to the summit efficiently.
