If you’re a fan of Disney or theme parks then a day at Tokyo DisneySea is essential if you’re in the city. It’s made up of lots of themed worlds centred around a huge man made lake. Each area has different rides, food and experiences to match the theme.
Entry is around $60 and it opens at 9am, it can get very busy very fast so it’s best to get in the lines before it opens. Head for the biggest ride as soon as it’s
open to beat the queues, even by 10am the big rides all had a minimum queue of an hour!
However If you plan in advance you can manage to do everything in one day, download the app ahead of time too. On the app you can buy fast pass tickets for around $5-10 per person per ride. You can book one ride per hour so if you strategise it well you can do all the big rides for around $40 each which is worth it to avoid the queues
Also one or two of the rides to single rider options, so I’d you just want to try the rides and you’re not too worried about riding with friends this will save you a lot of time!
Overall the park is stunning and visually one of the more polished Disney parks, the worlds are so immersive and detailed you get the true escapism you want.
However if you’re travelling with small children who want to see the characters this isn’t the park for you, it’s best to do the other Tokyo Disney. Character interactions here are minimal and VERY busy.
